Properties of poppy powder

Poppy petals contain flavonoids that provide antioxidant properties, thus protecting the elastin and hyaluronic acid naturally present in the skin.

The tannins it contains have an astringent and antioxidant effect, while the alkaloids, particularly rhoeadine, provide calming and soothing properties.
